
Sales Trainer & Onboarding Specialist

The Sales Trainer & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the onboarding experience for new sales hires across Marco’s Print and IT business units. This role ensures new sellers are confident, productive, and aligned to Marco’s sales standards as quickly as possible.
This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role centered on live training, coaching reinforcement, and operational readiness.
Essential Functions
New Hire Onboarding (Primary Focus)
Own the end‑to‑end sales onboarding program (Day 1‑Day 90)
Deliver live onboarding sessions (virtual and in‑person as needed)
Train new hires on Marco’s sales process, CRM standards, sales plays, and solution positioning
Ensure consistent onboarding experience across Print and IT business units
Training & Content Execution
Maintain onboarding curriculum, decks, certifications, and exercises
Partner with Sales Ops and Enablement Coaches to keep content current
Support rollout of new sales plays, tools, and process updates
Reinforce Marco’s Sales Excellence Standards and Gold Standard behaviors
Coaching & Readiness
Run certification checkpoints including role‑plays and scenario testing
Identify onboarding gaps and recommend improvements
Partner with sales managers to support early‑tenure rep development
Track and improve time‑to‑productivity metrics
Measurement & Reporting
Track onboarding completion and certification status
Measure onboarding effectiveness including ramp time and early pipeline creation
Provide insights and recommendations to Enablement and Sales Ops leadership
Required Qualifications
3+ years in sales training, enablement, onboarding, or sales operations
Experience working directly with sales teams
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Highly organized with strong execution discipline
Comfortable working cross‑functionally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B sales environments
Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
Experience supporting both hunter and account‑based roles
Background in Print or IT a plus
Pay Range $67,287 - $104,295 annually + incentive opportunity
