
Relay Express, established in 1986, is a Logistical Solutions provider specializing in first mile and final‑mile delivery, logistical warehousing, inventory management, cross‑dock distribution, and on‑demand transportation needs. We are currently looking for a dedicated account representative to work out of our Fairfield, Ohio office. This individual will be solely focused on growing existing customer opportunities with current active assigned accounts and growth through new client sales. This opportunity has unlimited earning potential. This is a salary plus commission opportunity. We are looking for cumulative growth month over month. This growth can come from existing clients adding work or new clients just getting started with Relay Express. The focus is growth month over month. The ideal candidate will have previous client relationship building experience as well as experience calling on new prospects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains a strong relationship with all assigned accounts, being proactive and responsive to each individual need.
Responsible for cumulative sales growth monthly and yearly.
Presents potential customers weekly to our corporate staff for input, solutions, and awareness.
Coordination with operations, recruiting, and accounting departments to define SOPS for service, rating, billing, etc. prior to accepting the business.
Gets all contracts and rate sheets approved during weekly sales meetings.
Reviews orders and evaluates usage and billing accuracy on a weekly basis.
Resolves customer complaints and/or inquiries immediately and effectively.
Cold calls to new customers/prospects based on location and list of current appointments.
Schedules, coordinates and entertains customer visits.
Records all key action items regarding customer activity.
Participates in weekly sales meetings, operational meetings, team sales training and continuing education.
Experience and Skill Requirements
Previous sales experience and/or account management a plus.
Ability to build strong relationships with key decision makers.
Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.
Dynamic at presentations and public speaking.
Strong troubleshooting and follow‑up skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be articulate, motivated, organized and a strong team player.
Travel up to 30%.
Benefits and Compensation
Base salary of $50,000 + commission. First year potential: $60-$75,000.
There will be a cumulative monthly quota established.
Monthly car allowance TBD.
Monthly sales allowance TBD.
Medical Benefits after 60 days. Premium paid at 75%.
Optional Dental and Vision Insurance after 60 days.
Profit sharing & 401k with company match after 1 year.
