As a Technical Designer for Ready-to-Wear/ Cover -ups, you will bridge the gap between design, product development and production. You’ll translate design concepts into production-ready garments, ensuring fit, construction, and quality meets customers’ standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of apparel construction, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

Technical Development:

Create and maintain detailed technical packages (tech packs), including construction details, measurements, and trim specifications. Development through Production. Fit & Construction:

Conduct fit sessions on live models or mannequins; analyze sample garments for fit, construction, and proportion. Partner with overseas factories:

to achieve the brand’s fit standards and design intent. Document all fit comments, track sample changes, and manage style iterations through final approval. Quality & Compliance:

Ensure garments meet brand standards for quality, performance, and consistency across sizes. Troubleshoot technical issues with factories, providing clear solutions for pattern, grading, and construction challenges. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development and Production, to align on aesthetic vision, cost parameters, and delivery deadlines. Communicate daily with Design and Product Development partners for on-going development and production. Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design or Pattern Making Experience:

3-5 years in technical design for Ready-to-Wear (contemporary or mass market). Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading. Working knowledge:

Microsoft 365, Excel proficiency a must. Experience fitting Plus Size Ready-to-Wear garments Proficiency in pattern software (e.g., Gerber, Optitex, Clo3D) and Adobe Illustrator. Experience working in PLM software (Flex PLM, Bamboo Rose, or similar) Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and overseas vendors. Highly organized and able to manage multiple styles and seasons simultaneously. How to Apply
