Temp Children's Technical Designer

to join their team. The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on quality, fit, and production excellence.

Salary/Hourly Rate $30/hr - $35/hr

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Temp Children\'s Technical Designer to support our client\'s children\'s apparel production temporarily. This role requires hands-on expertise in technical design, fittings, and vendor communication to ensure garments meet quality, fit, and safety standards. The position is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Design and Production teams.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain complete technical packages, including measurements, construction details, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Conduct fit sessions and measure and review samples for fit, construction, and overall quality.

Provide clear, detailed fit comments to vendors and internal partners.

Collaborate closely with Design and Production teams to maintain brand consistency and product integrity.

Communicate daily with overseas vendors to ensure timely approvals and production alignment.

Ensure all garments meet company specifications and children\'s safety standards.

Required Experience/Skills

Minimum of 5 years of technical design experience.

Strong technical expertise in children\'s apparel.

Proficiency in Excel and PLM systems.

Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Experience working in a fast-paced apparel production environment.

Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, and safety requirements for children\'s apparel.

Education Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Fashion Design or Technical Design is required.
