Our Client, a Global Financial Services Firm, is seeking a Senior Immigration Advisor in their St. Petersburg, Florida location.

Important Requirements (Must Have)

supporting new hires with visas and sponsorship through the

employment‑based green card process

Summary This role supports a high‑volume, high‑visibility U.S. immigration portfolio within a small, specialized team. The position is responsible for driving strong governance, oversight of legal documentation, and delivering an exceptional experience for candidates and associates navigating U.S. immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between external immigration counsel, HR, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, candidates, and associates to ensure a seamless and well‑governed immigration process.

Lead end‑to‑end coordination and quality control of immigration petitions, including H, L, TN, and employment‑based immigrant filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance of all legal documentation.

Manage PERM processing with full ownership of timelines, labor market test governance, recruitment compliance, documentation management, and audit readiness.

Prepare and coordinate responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) for H-1B, H-4, H-4 EAD, L-1, and PERM cases in partnership with outside counsel.

Maintain organized and audit‑ready immigration compliance records, including Public Access Files, PERM audit files, case documentation, and data integrity across internal systems.

Support visa and work authorization needs for domestic and international transfers, ensuring consistent communication and a positive associate experience.

Oversee I-9 reverification processes for foreign national employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Maintain and update internal immigration databases; produce dashboards and executive‑level reporting with accuracy and clarity.

Monitor changes in immigration laws, policies, and regulatory guidance; proactively advise HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on potential impacts.

Provide frequent status updates and high‑touch communication to candidates and associates to enhance transparency and overall experience.

Prepare employment letters and supporting documentation for visa stamping and consular processing.

Act as the primary point of contact for DHS H-1B audits and DOL PERM audits, ensuring audit‑ready governance practices.

Continuously assess and improve immigration governance procedures, compliance controls, and service delivery models.

Develop and deliver training and education sessions on U.S. immigration topics for hiring managers, HR, and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in U.S. corporate immigration, including senior‑level ownership of complex cases.

Demonstrated end‑to‑end ownership of Labor Market Tests (LMT) and PERM governance.

Advanced knowledge of U.S. immigration categories, including F-1, H-1B, H-4, H-4 EAD, L-1, TN, PERM, and employment‑based green card processes.

Proven experience partnering with external immigration counsel and reviewing legal documentation for compliance and accuracy.

Strong experience managing I-9 reverification and compliance workflows.

Exceptional communication, follow‑up, and stakeholder management skills with a strong service mindset.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong document management capabilities.

Workday experience required (minimum 2 years).
