Sales Engineer
is sought to support growth in the Houston market. This remote-based role focuses on building and expanding customer relationships within industrial automation and manufacturing environments. The position combines technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship-building skills to help customers improve processes and drive measurable operational results. Key Responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand their operations, products, and improvement goals Lead a structured sales process to define customer challenges and develop solution concepts Identify decision-makers and key stakeholders throughout the sales cycle Apply technical and application knowledge to deliver automation solutions Communicate effectively through digital platforms, phone, and in-person meetings Visit customer sites to evaluate equipment, troubleshoot applications, and present solutions Proactively pursue new business opportunities and prospect for future growth Stay current on automation industry trends and related technologies Meet performance goals focused on sales growth and new customer acquisition Qualifications
3–7 years of technical sales experience preferred Engineering or Business degree preferred A background in industrial automation is an advantage Strong communication skills across all organizational levels Ability to sell in both remote and face-to-face environments Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Work Style & Attributes
Self-disciplined with a strong sense of urgency Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams Comfortable in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment Benefits
