American democracy runs on outdated infrastructure. The way we find candidates, compare options, and coordinate action was built for the TV age—and now money and party gatekeepers control every step. At FiNC, we’re building entirely new civic infrastructure for the digital age. Not another reform competing in the rigged game—we’re building the foundation that other solutions can plug into. We’re doing this in two phases: Phase 1 is happening now: The Digital Politics Hub , where frustrated citizens, candidates, movements, and journalists plug into one coordinated network outside the broken two-party system. We’re building people power, proving demand, and earning the trust and resources for what comes next. Phase 2 is the end game: Digital Democracy —a citizen-owned platform where every candidate gets equal visibility, where Politician Report Cards give citizens real comparison tools, where the playing field is finally level. This is how we take democracy back: by building new infrastructure where better choices are actually possible. Our structure matters: FiNC is a cooperative-style nonprofit where team members aren’t just employees—they’re partners and co-architects in a mission to rebuild democracy. If you’re ready to help design the civic infrastructure America never got—and to build with citizens, not gatekeepers—we invite you to step in. IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION – Please read carefully To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached . Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC—building it together from the ground up. We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with all time tracked and paid retroactively once we become fully operational. This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards . Everyone who joins is a partner , receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative , moving beyond the traditional “employee vs employer” dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking. Please only apply if you’re open to this unique opportunity and ready to be part of something truly transformative. Culture and Employment A New Kind of Organization for a New Kind of Democracy Neurodiversity and diversity-of-thought are strengths, not obstacles Servant leadership, dynamic team structures, and shared ownership Purpose over profits, value over hours, and respect for work-life balance We reward authenticity, passion, and commitment—not conformity We support individual weaknesses to enhance collective strengths Continuous role assessments, long-term growth opportunities, and real career sustainability From your first 2-way interview, you will see (and feel) how radically different we are. Job Description FiNC is looking for a Senior Copywriter who can sit at the core of our messaging—helping evolve how we explain what we’re building, without flattening the nuance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can translate complex strategy into clear, emotionally resonant, shareable writing across social platforms. This role is copy-first . You’ll be supported by graphic designers, other copywriters, and content creators—your job is to shape the narrative, voice, and messaging that ties it all together. What you’ll do

Write and refine copy for social content: captions, hooks, headlines, CTAs, short-form posts, and threads Create short video scripts and punchy storytelling for platform-native content (especially TikTok/IG/YT Shorts) Help evolve FiNC’s voice, positioning, and message clarity as the work grows Turn complex concepts into digestible language that still preserves the real strategy Engage thoughtfully with audiences through comments/replies (as needed) to build trust and momentum Collaborate with Marketing, Outreach, and Creative to ensure copy aligns with visuals and campaign direction Occasionally support broader marketing copy (website sections, emails, announcements) What we’re looking for

3+ years writing copy for social media, marketing, comms, or narrative-driven campaigns (or equivalent) A strong conceptual writer who can make complex ideas simple without making them shallow Platform fluency: understands tone, culture, and what performs on TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky/X-style threads , etc. Skilled at hooks, rhythm, clarity, and persuasion —you can write tight and you can write deep Collaborative and proactive: you take ownership, communicate clearly, and iterate fast Mission-aligned, with the ability to write in a way that feels human, credible, and energizing Why this role matters

You won’t just be writing posts—you’ll be helping build the language that helps citizens understand FiNC, trust it, and share it.
