
Overview
We are seeking a full-time
Associate
Art Director
in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for generating concepts for 360-degree advertising campaigns, designing content for internal corporate communications and generating marketing material for products in the fitness, outdoor, marine, automotive and aviation consumer markets.
Essential Functions
Work with copywriters to develop/visualize multiple concepts for moderately complex projects or campaigns
Finalize concepts into comps for presentation, reviews and approvals
Work closely with internal & external production teams and provide direction during photo and video shoots
Produce final artwork and incorporate into final layouts
Collaborate and add value in creative reviews
Contribute to improving processes, standards and guidelines
Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities
Work collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates and perform as a solid contributor on cross functional teams to achieve goals
Apply Garmin's Mission, Vision, Values & Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Excellent academic qualifications
Proficient Mac OS computer skills utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Keynote
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional understanding and use of concept and design
Knowledgeable in the application of pre-press production methods and final production follow through
Good working awareness of vast array of methods and resources to implement a concept or idea
Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution experience
Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate the ability to prioritize/multitask effectively, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others
Demonstrates effective time management, organizational and follow-up skills with a keen attention to detail and quality
Desired Qualifications
College degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Advertising or related field preferred or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of Figma
