The Marketing & Public Relations Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing, branding, and public relations strategies that advance the hospital’s mission, strengthen community trust, and support growth in services and patient engagement. This role serves as the hospital’s primary steward of brand reputation and public messaging, ensuring consistent, accurate, and compelling communications across all channels. The Manager works collaboratively with executive leadership, communications director, physicians, service line leaders, and community partners to elevate the hospital’s visibility and reinforce its commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with the hospital’s mission, values, and strategic goals. Serve as the guardian of the hospital brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications. Lead service line marketing initiatives to support patient volume growth and community awareness. Analyze market trends, patient demographics, and competitive data to guide strategy and decision-making. Serve as the hospital’s primary media contact and spokesperson, as appropriate. Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and healthcare media outlets. Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, and executive communications. Manage crisis communications in coordination with Director of Communications, executive leadership and legal counsel. Oversee development of content for website, social media, newsletters, and advertising. Ensure messaging is clear, patient-centered, compliant with healthcare regulations, and culturally. sensitive. Collaborate with clinical leaders to translate complex medical information into accessible, engaging content. Strengthen the hospital’s presence and reputation within the community through storytelling, events, and partnerships. Support community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, and hospital events. Monitor public perception, patient feedback, and online reviews; develop strategies to enhance reputation. Oversee digital marketing strategies including website management, SEO, social media, email campaigns, and paid advertising. Track performance metrics and ROI to optimize marketing investments. Ensure digital platforms are current, accurate, and reflective of the hospital’s brand. Collaborate closely with executive leadership, physicians, foundation teams, and department heads. Manage departmental budget, contracts, and agency relationships. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong strategic thinking and project management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to manage crisis communications and sensitive issues. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and compliance considerations. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion. Bilingual in English and Spanish speaking and writing preferred. Education and Experience: ·

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field or in lieu of degree, 5 or more years of proven experience in the field.

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in marketing and public relations.

Healthcare, hospital, or highly regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience in media relations, brand management, and strategic communications.
