Overview
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Leadership Coach for the Transformational Leadership and System Support department of the Learning and Leadership division. The Executive Leadership Coach (ELC) supports countywide instructional leadership development by designing, implementing, and assisting with district leadership systems, SDCOE leadership institutes, administrator credentialing programs, and school leadership coaching. This role drives systems transformation, aligns initiatives with SDCOE’s North Star, and advances school improvement efforts across the county and Region 9. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and assist with district leadership systems, SDCOE leadership institutes, and administrator credentialing programs. Provide school leadership coaching across TK-12 settings and contribute to high-poverty, high-performing schools. Drive systems transformation and ensure alignment of initiatives with SDCOE’s North Star. Support countywide instructional leadership development and contribute to county and Region 9 school improvement efforts. Qualifications
Education and Experience : A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in education, educational administration, or a closely related area, including coursework in instructional leadership and/or organizational change. Experience : Five (5) years of proven success as a school-site principal. Experience must include effective instructional leadership that improved teaching and learning; analyzing student achievement data to identify patterns and trends; developing, implementing, and delivering high-quality professional development; teaching and leadership in diverse educational settings, particularly in high-poverty, high-performing schools; and effective coaching of TK-12 teachers and/or administrators. Equivalency : A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree and five (5) years of proven success as a school-site principal.
