Requirements Account Executive, Building Controls We're looking for an
Account Executive
who can represent the full range of MacMiller capabilities, with a primary focus on
selling building control systems to building owners, facility leaders, and other owner-direct decision makers
in the Western Washington commercial market. You'll develop retrofit and bid proposals, specifications, and detailed estimates — and ensure our solutions deliver the quality, value, and performance our clients expect. We empower our Account Executives to make decisions that build loyalty and drive referrals. In return, you'll gain autonomy, growth opportunities, and the chance to shape a high‑impact business line.
What Success Looks Like In Your First Year People
Support engineers, estimators, PMs, and field teams throughout project delivery
Collaborate with internal teams and customers at every project stage
Strengthen cross‑department relationships to ensure seamless execution
Customer Base
Deepen relationships with existing clients
Grow sales volume and profit margins while ensuring operational deliverability
Identify and secure new customer accounts
Marketing & Sales
Develop a geographically based business plan informed by vertical‑market opportunities and emerging market trends
Pursue, negotiate, and close new contracts
Promote MacMiller's value engineering and full‑service mechanical capabilities
What You'll Do
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams on diverse projects
Engage with all levels of the organization, from field techs to executives
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals that win profitable work
Develop and execute strategies to maximize opportunities in your assigned market
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Who Thrives Here
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or mechanical engineering (preferred)
Proven success in sales negotiation, margin achievement, and managing commitments
Practical understanding of mechanical systems and strong customer‑service instincts
4+ years selling or installing Building Controls (Plan & Spec or Retrofit)
Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship‑building skills
Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business
