
Estimator – Industrial Manufacturing
Summary
Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and customer quotations for custom industrial parts and mechanical components. Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive pricing aligned with margin targets and customer requirements. Responsibilities Analyze drawings, specifications, and BOMs to determine material, labor, and overhead costs Prepare cost estimates and formal quotations Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to validate assumptions and lead times Identify value-engineering and cost-reduction opportunities Maintain estimating data and support Sales with bids and proposals Qualifications 3–5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong ability to read technical drawings and specifications Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Experience with custom mechanical assemblies, industrial chains, conveyors, or heavy equipment Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field Familiarity with lean manufacturing or value engineering
