Job Description Summary The ideal candidate is a challenger and hunter responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing sales into the Pharmaceutical, Sterile Manufacturing, Biotech, and Personal Care space. This individual will work in their region to ensure that all base business is maintained and all new business is serviced after the sale. The role works to insure sales growth and market share consistent with budget and business plan.

Responsibilities

Takes the lead in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Personal Care accounts to drive revenue across the complete portfolio.

Has a “hunter mentality” to pursue opportunities within the assigned market.

Works closely with end users and distribution in the assigned accounts to ensure complete account control.

Utilizes marketing and sales resources to develop, implement, and track all targeted programs both direct and through distribution.

Is accountable for core media sales and capital equipment sales based on assigned budgets.

Is accountable for the financial performance at the revenue and profitability level of assigned accounts.

Works closely with other ISS, marketing, and management to adopt a system sell approach into large Pharmaceutical and Personal care accounts working with bench personnel to senior managers.

Field‑based, individual‑contributor position requiring regulatory expertise and complete knowledge of compendial methods and requirements.

Requirements

BA/BS in Life Sciences, biological areas, business or related discipline. Degree in Microbiology preferred.

Minimum 3 years documented sales success (top 20%) in broad range laboratory products with minimum 1 year laboratory and/or multi‑level selling experience preferred.

Experience in the Manufacturing Sales Space (Pharmaceutical/medical device/Compounding Pharmacy/food testing, or QC/QA required).

Capital equipment experience preferred.

Prioritizes and initiates direct sales calls with distributors to protect existing sales and identify additional revenue opportunities.

Forecasts activity and closes as required by management.

Provides continuous support including post‑sales activities.

Effectively communicates with the Service organization to coordinate a successful installation transitioning to long‑term customer satisfaction of the product.

Manages administrative duties as assigned: monitoring expenses to budget, timely administrative and call reporting, funnel and competitive data entries, new contracts and renewals, use and maintenance of company assets and adherence to OSHA and universal lab precautions.

Experience attaining or exceeding overall sales plan profitability, as well as other assigned goals and objectives.

Knowledge of selling process and the components to build/maintain customer loyalty.

Preparation, presentation and closing skills to include direct sales, use of distribution channel and/or team selling approach.

Strong organizational skills. Multi‑state territory management, account assessment and relationship development. Analytical with financial orientation applicable to contract proposals and profitability, budget, and expense management.

Demonstrated ability to develop markets for new technology and new medical practices.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal interaction required.

Computer savvy – working knowledge of MS Office applications and other connectivity devices.

Ability to travel overnight 50%+ as required to meet performance standards.

Salary The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for field‑based and remote roles.

Annual range includes base + incentive: $125,992 – $207,888.
