Overview
A large dairy operation located in Wisconsin seeks a hands-on Dairy Manager. This position is responsible for supervising employees, scheduling, training, and preparing payroll. Will oversee supervision of 2 herdsman, a feeder, milkers and other crew members. The Dairy Manager must be willing to read feed bunks, walking pens, and work with fresh and sick cows. Knowledgeable of cow health and reproduction. The ability to use ultrasound is a plus. The Dairy Manager will work with a veterinarian and nutritionist. There are no inventory or purchasing responsibilities, but they will be responsible for checking deliveries and reviewing bills to ensure all items are received. Ability to use dairy software programs. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
