Role Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a field-based role for the East Florida region, responsible for representing Akebia products to physicians and healthcare professionals, performing total territory account management, and developing consultative relationships with Renal Healthcare Providers. The position aims to achieve and exceed annual sales goals supported by analytics, and provides account management support to Nephrology accounts within East Florida. Responsibilities

Prioritize local market opportunities among top tier health care professionals including nephrologists, renal dietitians, affiliated group practices, and dialysis organizations facilities Develop and maintain a high level of product and disease area knowledge, and Akebia product clinical data with customers in a professional way Develop and evaluate account business plans to meet strategic goals and align with trends within key customer segments Present account business plans to management Communicate clinical and economic information to large group practices, physician executives, and medical directors in line with promotional guidelines Demonstrate strong account management skills and follow-up within the renal care team to support initiation and maintenance of patients on Akebia products Serve as a resource regarding local, regional and national payer policies, reimbursement regulations and processes, Medicare/Medicaid rules, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance as related to Akebia products Communicate and capitalize on open formulary access through effective implementation of the strategic targeting and pull-through plan Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account level goals Stay current on marketplace developments Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree Required: 5+ years pharma/account management selling experience Required: Possess valid driver’s license Required: Approximately 25% travel Preferred: Graduate business or healthcare-related degree Preferred: Buy and bill experience and success Preferred: Biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience Preferred: Nephrology therapeutic area experience Skills

Ability to develop and present account business plans and communicate complex clinical and economic information Strong knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement processes, and regulatory compliance relevant to pharmaceuticals Effective cross-functional collaboration with nephrology teams and management Education

Bachelor's degree Additional Requirements
