Role Overview
Agency Coordinator Senior Specialist (ACSS) - Permit Acquisition | Construction Projects. Location: Rialto, CA (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite). Duration: 12-Month Contract. Pay Range: $30-$35/hour. Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This role focuses on securing excavation, encroachment, and traffic control permits and serves as a key liaison between internal project teams and external permitting agencies. The position supports a regional Construction Permit Organization and plays a critical role in ensuring construction readiness and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
Review complex construction plans and drawings with planners to identify required permits Determine appropriate internal resources to support permit acquisition Coordinate with municipal, county, and state agencies to obtain permits with favorable conditions Develop and maintain strong working relationships with permitting authorities Prepare, submit, and track permit applications through approval Serve as the single point of contact for all permit-related inquiries (internal and external) Distribute approved permits to project managers and construction teams prior to work start Track permit status and provide regular updates to stakeholders Address unfavorable permit conditions and escalate issues as needed Mentor junior permit and contract specialists Support evolving business processes while maintaining compliance with internal standards Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years
of experience in permitting, construction support, engineering, inspection, utility design, or project management Hands-on experience acquiring
encroachment, excavation, and/or traffic control permits Strong experience interfacing with governmental and regulatory agencies Ability to work within tight construction schedules and coordinate with field teams Experience reporting project and permit status to stakeholders Proficient in
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access Bachelor's degree required
