The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a vital role as the front line of Impruvon Health’s growth engine. This team is responsible for initiating meaningful conversations with key decision‑makers, identifying qualified opportunities, and setting the stage for successful sales cycles. You will report directly to the Business Development Director, receiving consistent training, coaching, and support while working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities Outreach and Qualification
Build and manage a pipeline through strategic discovery, relationship development, and opportunity creation
Conduct high‑volume outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
Personalize outreach based on research into organization structure, services, and needs
Communicate Impruvon Health’s value clearly and confidently
Lead discovery conversations to qualify prospects based on workflows, state regulations, and current processes
Ask targeted questions to ensure strong fit before passing leads to Sales
Ensure Sales enters meetings informed, positioned, and respected—not cold
Collaboration and Sales Support
Partner with Account Executives to ensure well‑prepared meetings and smooth handoffs
Re‑engage stalled opportunities and assist with follow‑ups or reactivation as needed
Support Account Executives in maintaining momentum when accounts go unresponsive
Share context, notes, and key insights before handing off qualified leads
Continuous Improvement
Participate in coaching and role‑play sessions to improve outreach and objection handling
Update outreach strategies, discovery questions, and lead lists based on feedback
Stay up to date on platform updates, product features, and industry trends
Campaign and Event Support
Follow up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, events, and webinars
Help maintain CRM accuracy with regular data cleanup
Growth and Development
Set and track personal goals with the Business Development Director
Contribute field insights to inform sales strategies and workflows
Attend occasional conferences or events to support lead generation

Consistently book qualified, high‑value meetings with decision‑makers
Help Sales convert those meetings into real opportunities and revenue
Shorten sales cycles through thorough discovery and clean handoffs
Re‑engage stalled accounts and uncover expansion opportunities
Influence messaging and strategy by sharing what you learn from the field
Are seen as a strategic partner to Sales, not just a meeting setter
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
1–2 years of experience in a Business Development, Sales Development, or outreach‑focused role
Strong phone presence and comfort making high‑volume outbound calls
Prior experience working remotely and managing tasks independently
Familiarity with CRM tools (preferably HubSpot), Excel, and collaboration platforms like Slack
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and follow through consistently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self‑motivated, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems and processes
Willingness to travel for occasional team meetings or conferences (approximately once per month)
Background in or passion for IDD, behavioral health, or residential care services
Nice to Have
Experience working in startups or fast‑paced, high‑growth environments
Spanish fluency is an additional bonus for this position

Base Salary:
$50,000 to $70,000 (depending on experience) + variable compensation
