Job Description We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SVP, Product Designer to join Wealth Services within BNY. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: This role should have experience providing guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities that include user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design. They will review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams, as well as new and modified user personas. The candidate will be expected to participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. They should be able to synthesize situations and information across multiple factors, seek to build their expertise while applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues, and be comfortable giving design feedback. They should build effective relationships with people on their immediate team and across other teams, get involved in team process and organization, help mentor and train junior designers, and be a strong communicator that checks for understanding, asks to understand others’ point of view, and advocates for the user experience across the firm.

Overall, this role will operate from a Studio‑centric model, with general instructions on routine work from a Lead Designer. They will be expected to regularly exercise discretion and execute under limited supervision.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, user experience, design, human‑computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required

Advanced degree preferred

10–12 years of experience required

Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

Base salary for this position is expected to be between $112,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location. Salary is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and company‑sponsored benefit programs.
