
As a graphic designer for Dansko you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging digital designs for a variety of platforms and mediums. Your expertise in digital design tools and your ability to understand and interpret design briefs while fostering collaboration across departments will be essential in delivering high-quality graphic solutions that align with our brand objectives, stories, and targeted audiences.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and champion great ideas to support amazing products and campaigns. Collaborative across departments to understand project requirements, goals and target audiences to ensure ideas effectively communicate desired messages and brand narratives. Conceptualize, create and apply the Dansko brand through a digital lens: E-Commerce Website Online Retail Partner Brand Pages E-Mail Newsletters Paid Campaigns Social Create compelling designs including but not limited to digital advertisements, infographics, email templates, web banners and motion graphics. Translate design briefs and ideas into visually appealing and user-friendly designs, considering layout, typography, color palettes and imagery. Manage multiple projects concurrently, work with a sense of urgency while adhering to established project timelines. Utilize industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite to create and modify digital assets. Ensure designs are optimized for various digital platforms and devices considering responsive design principles and user experience best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design techniques and new digital technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance design quality and innovation. Maintain organized file management and documentation of design processes, ensuring easy access and smooth collaboration among team members. Seek a proactive approach to project challenges in terms of design needs, working to predict and mitigate roadblocks. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications (or a related field) Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, specializing in digital design. Detail oriented thinker with sensibilities to customer-facing design. Advanced knowledge of color theory, imaging and typography. Strong proficiency in using MAC OS platforms and related design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) Experience with video editing and motion graphics software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiasm for collaboration and a strong desire to work in a team-oriented environment, actively seeking and valuing input from cross-functional team members. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to self-start and drive projects to completion.
