Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Sales Consultant: responsible for implementing the Boehringer Ingelheim ILD sales and marketing plans to maximize distribution and market penetration of Boehringer ILD products within BI guidelines and directives. The ILD Sales Consultant will engage with key ILD Clinics and targeted Pulmonologists, Rheumatologists, Radiologists, Advanced Practice Clinicians, and Allied Healthcare Professionals, with additional responsibilities for sales activities in teaching and community hospitals, federal and military hospitals. The role may require overnight travel and occasional night and weekend ILD meeting commitments. Responsibilities
Maintains and utilizes ILD product knowledge and effective selling skills to influence targeted ILD healthcare professionals to support the use of BI promoted products. Executes brand strategies and business plans to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message. Establishes and maintains effective communication/cooperation with internal BI employees. Develops clinic and customer pre-call plans to meet ILD HCP and account needs, builds valued discussions around ILD HCP needs and opportunities, fosters ILD HCP network development, and provides timely follow-up discussions. Uses BI sales training techniques to facilitate exchange of scientific knowledge and dialogue, providing value to HCPs through patient management and decision-making support. Identifies key ILD business needs, builds plans to address territory needs, and involves internal BI personnel in strategy development and execution. Analyzes territory information to optimize ILD HCP calls and responds to local market conditions affecting business. Develops plans to maximize regional and national speaker and other programs; adjusts implementation plans regularly; creates opportunities that align with territory and brand tactics. Uses sales data and supporting analysis to plan activity, monitors literature use, maintains ILD HCP records, and completes administrative duties in a timely fashion; fulfills Sales Training requirements. Identifies and develops regional and national ILD thought leaders and advocates; provides feedback to speakers and attendees and develops plans to grow speakers and advocates; builds networks among ILD HCPs. Manages programs and budgets to stay within BI ILD standards; works with key internal stakeholders to optimize resource use. Performs all company business in accordance with applicable regulations and BI policies; reports violations promptly; demonstrates high ethical and professional standards. Provides consistent administrative duties and timely expense and call reports; commits to personal development with the ILD Associate Director and maintains a personal development plan with biannual reviews. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of BIPI ILD products and market, translating knowledge into customer-focused sales presentations; proactively responds to customer requests for expert information to build trust and value. ILD Sales Consultant I Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree required Minimum of three (3) years of successful Pharmaceutical sales experience; two-plus (2+) years of Specialty/Pulmonary experience preferred Strong communication skills Ability to translate scientific information to ILD customers Willingness to travel with overnights and some weekend programs ILD Sales Consultant II Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree required Minimum of five (5) years of pharmaceutical sales experience with at least three (3) years Specialty/Pulmonary experience Strong communication skills Ability to translate scientific information to ILD customers Willingness to travel with overnights and some weekend programs Sr. ILD Sales Consultant Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree required 7–10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with 5–7 years Specialty/Pulmonary experience Proven ability to work in a high-performing, cross-functional environment Excellent communication, objective setting, and influencing skills Experience with account management, HUB services, clinical educators, specialty pharmacies, reimbursement navigation, external teaching institutions, and KEEs Willingness to travel overnight (approximately 10–50%) depending on geography Valid Driver\'s License and acceptable driving record Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and related applications Strong communication skills Eligibility
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) Must be 18 years of age or older Compensation
