Steer daily operations at a large-scale production facility to ensure seamless manufacturing activities. Lead and mentor a team of 40-50 employees, ensuring optimal staffing, comprehensive training, and performance optimization. Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to boost productivity, minimize waste, and refine operational workflows. Strategically implement and upgrade automation systems to enhance throughput and reduce manual interventions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, R&D, Maintenance, and IT to align operations with product development and organizational growth objectives. Develop and monitor KPIs and process controls to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold product quality standards. Conduct in-depth analysis of operational and equipment data to identify and resolve performance issues. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, with a strong emphasis on GMP compliance. Act as a strategic and hands-on leader, driving execution, fostering innovation, and promoting continuous improvement. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is required; an MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry is highly desirable. 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, with previous plant floor oversight being advantageous. Proficient knowledge of organic chemistry, with expertise in oligonucleotide synthesis considered a plus. Demonstrated success in automation and operational scaling, paired with effective cross-functional leadership skills. Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma practices and experience in GMP-regulated environments is preferred.
