CPQ Architect (Remote, US or LATAM)
Go Nimbly, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
About The Job
At Go Nimbly, we want to be a global thought leader in the RevOps space by developing a badass brand built through innovative work created by individuals with growth mindsets. As a member of the Delivery team, you will help our clients drive more revenue by creating a buying experience that’s both frictionless and human. You will move high‑growth companies toward a more operationally efficient organization.
Role Overview CPQ Solutions Architect
– You’ll collaborate with RevOps consultants, program managers, developers, and analysts to design and deliver quote‑to‑cash (Q2C) solutions across Salesforce and adjacent CPQ/Billing platforms such as Nue.io, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Conga/aptitude, DealHub, or comparable tools. You are the subject matter expert across quoting, pricing, discounting, approvals, product modeling, subscriptions, amendments, renewals, order management, and downstream integrations to CLM, Billing, and Finance. You lead discovery, define architecture, and guide the team through solution decisions with an emphasis on scalability, data model trade‑offs, and best practices.
Remote Work & Location Requirements We’re a fully remote company. We currently hire only candidates residing in the following locations (U.S. states or countries) due to payroll, tax, and compliance requirements:
U.S. states:
California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah.
Countries:
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay.
Daily Responsibilities
Lead discovery to understand selling motions (new, expansion, renewal), pricing strategies (rate cards, tiers, usage, bundles), and approval policies; translate them into a scalable CPQ data model and process design.
Design end‑to‑end Q2C architectures spanning Lead → Opportunity → Quote/Proposal → Contract → Order → Invoice → Revenue, including integrations to CLM, e‑signature, billing, and ERP.
Model products and pricing (bundles, options, attributes, rules, price books, multi‑currency, partner pricing) and establish guardrails for discounting and approvals.
Define solution patterns for complex use cases such as ramp deals, drawdowns, usage/consumption, multi‑year terms, prorations, amendments, swaps, co‑terming, and renewals.
Author technical design documents (object model, configuration specs, interface contracts, sequence diagrams, non‑functional requirements) and present them to client stakeholders to build trust and alignment.
Scope and estimate CPQ workstreams and migrations (greenfield, re‑architecture, or tool consolidation), calling out risks and dependencies early.
Guide implementation by partnering with developers/administrators: own configuration standards, code review for extensibility, data migration strategy, and test plans (unit, UAT, regression, SIT).
Set governance for CPQ and Billing (release management, environments, naming/versioning, documentation) and enable clients with playbooks and runbooks.
Mentor teammates with ad‑hoc coaching on CPQ concepts, latest platform releases, and RevOps best practices; contribute to Go Nimbly’s POV content.
Benefits & Compensation
Fully remote work environment.
Tiered incentive program in addition to base salary.
Exposure to high‑growth companies investing in quote‑to‑cash transformation.
Collaborate with top industry professionals; many alumni have become leaders and executives at high‑growth companies.
Annual offsite camp celebrating team successes and planning the year.
Dedicated employee development and career paths aimed at fostering growth.
100% paid premiums for U.S. employees’ insurance coverage.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years designing and implementing RevOps and/or Q2C solutions, partnering with senior stakeholders across Sales, RevOps, Finance, and IT.
Deep CPQ expertise with Salesforce and at least one modern CPQ/Billing platform; articulate when to configure vs. customize.
Broad, practical knowledge of the RevOps and revenue tech ecosystem, quickly learning new platforms without bias toward any single solution.
Proven product/pricing modeling skills: bundles/options, configuration rules, advanced pricing, multi‑currency, tax, and partner scenarios.
Hands‑on integration experience across CLM, e‑signature, billing, payment gateways, data warehouses, and ERPs (e.g., NetSuite) including API patterns and middleware.
Salesforce platform breadth across core objects, Flow, Platform Events, Apex/Lightning best practices, and perspective on declarative vs. code automation.
Lifecycle mastery of subscriptions: amendments, co‑terming, renewals, upgrades/downgrades, credit/rebill, and ARR/RevRec implications with Finance.
Data and migration chops: data model rationalization, reference/master data strategy, and migration cutover planning.
Agile delivery: backlog shaping, story writing, acceptance criteria, and iterative release planning.
Communication & leadership: influence and lead cross‑functional teams; present complex designs to exec and technical audiences.
Bonus: Salesforce Application or System Architect; CPQ/Billing vendor certifications (e.g., Nue.io, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Salesforce CPQ/Billing, Conga); experience with consumption/usage‑based pricing or marketplace monetization.
Company Culture
Results‑focused, customer‑experience driven.
Positive people with urgency, creativity, and decisiveness willing to work hard under pressure.
Growth‑oriented, teams learn from others.
Ambassadors of Go Nimbly within the Revenue Operations space.
