Role Summary
As the Associate Director of Consumer Insights, you will shape marketing strategies and patient experience by leading the development and execution of a robust consumer insights program. You will translate complex data into actionable insights to guide cross-functional teams in engaging with patients. This role is hybrid and based in Foster City, California. Responsibilities
Insight Generation: Extract and synthesize actionable insights from large consumer datasets to identify key behaviors, trends, and opportunities; provide strategic recommendations to optimize media and marketing strategies. Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of consumer data, integrate disparate sources, and develop compelling narratives that clearly communicate insights. Media Strategy Support: Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing and media strategies; influence content, channel, and audience targeting decisions. Reporting Ecosystem Development: Lead the development of self-service analytics, build and scale dashboards (Power BI/Tableau), and ensure timely, accurate reporting across teams. Clean Room/LiveRamp Expertise: Leverage experience with LiveRamp and data clean rooms to manage and enhance data analysis with privacy-compliant integration. Communication: Create and deliver reports and presentations that convey key findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership. Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality following governance and security best practices. Qualifications
Required:
Experience in consumer insights or data analytics with a focus on marketing, business intelligence, or media strategies; preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Required:
Proficiency in data analysis tools, especially Power BI, Tableau, and SQL; strong data visualization and reporting skills. Required:
Experience extracting actionable insights from consumer data, including patient-level data (1P, 3P claims, SDoH, SFMC). Required:
Excellent communication skills to distill complex data into clear, actionable reports for a wide range of stakeholders. Required:
Ability to measure and track KPIs and make data-driven recommendations to improve media and marketing strategies. Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 5 years of relevant experience. Preferred:
Experience with pharma patient claims data (IQVIA LAAD, Symphony, HealthVerity) and familiarity with LiveRamp. Preferred:
Prior experience using consumer insights to inform media and advertising strategies. Skills
