Role Summary
The Associate Director of Supply Chain will play a key role in supporting commercial operations by actively managing forecasts, coordinating logistics, adhering to trade compliance regulations, and supporting import/export activities. In addition to these responsibilities, this role will lead a team, providing coaching, performance management, and support development opportunities. They will ensure accurate inventory management, timely procurement, and seamless communication with internal partners and CDMO partners to maintain uninterrupted product supply to patients. Responsibilities
Personal Development Engage in continuous self-development by participating in internal and external training programs that enhance skills and knowledge relevant to job responsibilities. Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Commercial Forecasting & Inventory Management Collaborate with the Commercial and External Operations teams to build forecast models. Generate and maintain a commercial supply plan to drive manufacturing and forecasting logistic supply activities across internal and external stakeholders. Develop and actively manage forecasts for intermediate and finished pharmaceutical products with CDMOs. Maintain and report inventory levels across internal systems and CDMO sites to support accurate planning and financial reporting. Conduct cycle counts and reconciles inventory discrepancies at CDMO locations with urgency. Lead the Demand Planning monthly review and alignment. Develop appropriate KPIs to appropriately measure performance against the forecasts and manufacturing plans. Procurement & Vendor Coordination Actively manage bill of materials and product supply requirements within the NetSuite system. Raise purchase requisitions and coordinate purchase order communication with CDMO resources. Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials. Identify and work cross-functionally to implement Supply Chain robustness. Reduce dependencies on single source suppliers, increasing flexibility, optimizing processes. Logistics & Trade Compliance Oversee logistics planning and execution for domestic and international shipments. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and manage import/export documentation. Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure shipment integrity and compliance. Ensure compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) through the Tracelink system. Systems & Reporting Maintain accurate records in ERP and supply chain systems. Generate reports to support supply chain planning and decision-making. Manage supply planning meetings and contribute to CDMO meetings as a supply chain SME. GMP-Compliant Supply Chain Programs Manage GMP supply chain program material flows, inventory management, and associated documentation across CDMO. Support internal and external audits, and manage quality systems (change controls, deviations, and CAPAs) as applications to support the job function. Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to support shipping and supply management as needed. Participate in investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain activities. Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing team. Experience with GDP documentation practices and GMP supply programs. Strong understanding of commercial forecasting, warehouse and logistics, and trade compliance. Experience working with CDMOs and managing external vendor relationships. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to apply risk assessment principles to supply chain decisions and process improvements. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or comparable number of years of experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or operations.
