The President of the Private Client Personal Lines is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and performance of the firm’s private client personal lines business serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Reporting directly to the Founding Partner, this role is focused on operating the agency at a high level—ensuring consistent service execution, financial performance, team effectiveness, and strong carrier and partner relationships. The President plays a key role in maintaining trusted relationships with centers of influence (COIs) and supporting client retention and referral continuity through exceptional execution and relationship stewardship. Key Responsibilities
Agency Operations & Execution
Lead the daily operations of the private client personal lines agency, ensuring consistent, disciplined execution across service, underwriting, renewals, and claims advocacy. Establish, document, and enforce operational standards, workflows, and service expectations. Ensure efficient handling of endorsements, billing coordination, renewals, and complex service needs. Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements, carrier guidelines, and internal policies. Financial & Performance Management
Maintain responsibility for the operating performance and profitability of the private client personal lines business. Monitor and manage key operating metrics including retention, account profitability, service turnaround times, renewal execution, and staffing capacity. Identify operational risks or inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve outcomes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the business unit. Client Service & Retention
Ensure delivery of a consistent, high-touch service model appropriate for sophisticated private clients. Serve as senior escalation point for complex client, coverage, or claims matters. Maintain selective involvement with key client relationships to support retention and confidence. Promote proactive renewal reviews and coverage stewardship across the book of business. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, manage, and hold accountable private client advisors, account executives, and service teams. Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber talent with strong technical and service capabilities. Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Build operational depth and succession planning for critical roles. Carrier & Market Management
Manage ongoing carrier relationships with a focus on underwriting execution, service quality, and issue resolution. Ensure appropriate carrier placement, coverage quality, and adherence to underwriting standards. Monitor carrier performance, appetite alignment, and portfolio results. Coordinate with carriers on claims trends, service matters, and operational initiatives. Centers of Influence (COI) Relationship Stewardship
Maintain and strengthen existing relationships with key centers of influence, including wealth advisors, family offices, attorneys, and other trusted partners. Support COIs through reliable execution, responsiveness, and thoughtful problem-solving rather than active business development. Participate in joint client discussions or reviews as needed to reinforce trust and continuity. Serve as an operational and technical resource to COIs in complex client situations. Qualifications
