Role Summary

The Global Public Affairs Head for Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) and Cross Rare Diagnostic Initiatives serves as a PA expert to the Rare Diseases franchise. He/She collaborates with Global brand teams and Global Project Team to develop global public affairs strategies, coordinates with Local PA teams, and acts as deputy to the Head of Global Public Affairs Rare Diseases to advance cross-functional initiatives, including rare diagnostic programs. Responsibilities

Drive implementation of a robust Global PA strategy to achieve the franchise vision in prioritized markets, support high-priority business objectives, and prepare the environment for launch and uptake of Efdoralprin alfa. Address unmet needs across the patient journey through scientific exchanges, evidence generation, community engagement, advocacy development, policy shaping, and other high-impact PA initiatives; enhance patient access to treatment and care goals. Manage relationships with patient groups and key stakeholders to ensure the voice of the patient guides business strategy. Incorporate external community input into development programs and lifecycle improvements. Cultivate multi-stakeholder partnerships to deliver solutions aligned with franchise priorities and company position. Monitor trends affecting public affairs strategy; conduct policy analyses and communicate implications to franchise leadership. Serve as strategic advisor and support TA/franchise Heads with external engagements to advance business objectives and Sanofi’s reputation. Develop and execute external engagement strategy for senior rare disease leadership to demonstrate leadership in rare diseases and strategic objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to input into broader strategy for AATD/Efdoralprin alfa and build cross-functional support for tactical execution. Leverage resources across US and Global Corporate Affairs; secure alignment and champion one voice. Coordinate with local PA teams to ensure global strategies reflect local realities and tool relevance. Lead and participate in multi-stakeholder partnerships and external engagement plans to advance rare diagnostic policy objectives. Qualifications

Required: Current or prior experience in market shaping to support product launches and develop policy/advocacy strategies; advanced responsibilities in public affairs; a bachelor’s degree in political science, law, economics, medicine, pharmacy, or related field; 12+ years of combined professional experience across Public Affairs, Market Access, Policy, Government Affairs or relevant pharma roles; ability to collaborate across Local and Global teams; proven experience in leading within a matrixed, high-pressure environment; experience partnering with cross-functional teams. Preferred: Post-graduate degree in public health or health care field; Doctorate or MBA or equivalent; travel up to 30%. Skills

Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills; comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Education

Bachelor’s degree (e.g., political science, law, economics, medicine, pharmacy) required. Post-graduate degree in public health, health care field, or Doctorate/Business degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA) preferred. Additional Requirements

Up to 30% travel may be required.
