Role Summary
Role: Associate Director of Commercial Training - Dermatology. Location: Cambridge, MA. The role supports commercial training needs with strategic planning and implementation of product and skill-based training delivered via eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on-demand courses. Reports to the Director, Field Learning & Development and is based in Cambridge, MA. Responsibilities
Develop, with the Director of Field Learning and Development, the training and development function for the Business Unit, including disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities, as well as other Business Unit training as needed. Responsible for the on-the-ground execution and deployment of training experiences. Qualifications
Required: BA/BS Degree in life science or business; MBA a plus. Required: 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, including at least 2 years leading national, home-office-based training. Required: Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biologics, with background in infusion products, specialty pharmacy, and buy-and-bill. Required: Proven communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of colleagues and stakeholders. Required: Ability to influence, collaborate, and interact with senior leadership and multiple key stakeholders across sales and marketing to align objectives and provide consistent training direction. Required: Demonstrated excellence in project management, including handling multiple projects/priorities and budgeting (actual-to-budget spending). Required: Ensure training programs comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines. Required: 25-35% national travel. Preferred: Training experience. Preferred: Dermatology experience. Preferred: Sales launch, biologic, and reimbursement experience. Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong collaboration, organizational, and operations skills. Education
Assist in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans to support the objectives of the Sales, Marketing, Patient Educational Services, and Reimbursement Teams. Implement and continuously improve work streams including:
New hire training programs and curriculum Continuing education with ongoing learning programs Advanced training for product and disease knowledge and customer interaction capabilities Field advisory teams and learning champions
Define and develop core competencies; create tools, curriculum, and initiatives to support them. Develop classroom training programs, including live, e-learning, Zoom, and other delivery methods; manage Product Review Board for training materials to ensure regulatory compliance. Develop field-based training programs, including mentorships, coaching, and field assessment. Establish metrics to track value and impact of training initiatives. Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to integrate materials into new-hire and ongoing training. Manage, design, and deliver sales training materials for National/Area/Regional Meetings in collaboration with Marketing and Learning Champions. Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements; manage relationships with key agency partners. Apply data & analytics to drive action and planning; provide strategic analysis for multiple internal stakeholders. Design and participate in certification training for relevant programs and vendors.
