Director of Litigation Support New York Job ID: 20760 Seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Litigation Support to lead and manage the firm’s eDiscovery, Library/Research, and Litigation/Trial Support functions. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for these departments, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and alignment with the firm’s goals. The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, providing consulting services on technology, workflows, and pricing models to optimize client service and litigation outcomes. Responsibilities
Develop and implement a firm-wide strategy for eDiscovery, Library/Research, and Litigation/Trial Support services. Establish best practices, policies, and workflows to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all litigation support functions. Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and tools that enhance service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Oversee day-to-day operations of eDiscovery, Library/Research, and Trial Support teams, ensuring high-quality and timely service. Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to meet business objectives. Create and maintain pricing models for litigation support services to ensure transparency and profitability. Act as a subject matter expert and consultant to attorneys on litigation support strategies, technology solutions, and cost management. Provide guidance on eDiscovery protocols, trial preparation, and research methodologies to support case strategy. Collaborate with practice groups to tailor solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements. Evaluate, select, and implement litigation support technologies, including eDiscovery platforms, research tools, and trial presentation software. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the firm at the forefront of litigation support innovation. Ensure adherence to data security, confidentiality, and compliance standards in all litigation support activities. Develop and maintain protocols for defensible eDiscovery processes and chain-of-custody documentation. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of eDiscovery processes, trial support technologies, and legal research tools. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage cross-functional teams.
