POSITION SUMMARY

Morristown Landing is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Website Designer and Editor to support and enhance our online presence. This part-time role focuses on designing new web pages, maintaining existing content, and ensuring our website remains engaging, accurate, and optimized for performance and search visibility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build responsive web pages using WordPress
  • Edit, update, and maintain website content
  • Create and upload graphics, photos, videos, and written content
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and promotions
  • Monitor website performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure SEO best practices and mobile responsiveness
  • Integrate analytics, forms, and third-party tools
  • All other duties assigned by management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS

  • Proven experience with WordPress CMS
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI and responsive design
  • Familiarity with on-page SEO, metadata, and site structure
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console experience
  • Meta Pixel and tracking integrations
  • Website performance optimization and caching tools
  • Basic web security knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or advertising; or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Ability to develop content and write with company voice in mind
  • Technologically savvy with skills in using multiple platforms or software for a variety of tasks such as cloud file management or project management
  • Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must be a team player and deadline-driven
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays)

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent loud noise levels
