Your Role

As a Gensler Designerwith our team inBaltimore, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients.You will collaborate with your teammates to develop design solutions, as well as coordinate design through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of core and shell and interior architecture projects.You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do Collaborate onbase building,interior architectureand interior designprojectsthat include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules

Design and deliver functional and beautiful spaces for projects within Practice Areassuch as:Critical Facilities,Sciences,Office Developers,Workplace interiors,Sports,Strategy,Building Transformation & Adaptive Reuse,Cities and Urban Design,Cities and Urban Design,Government & Defenseand more

Coordinate with Interior Designers,Project Architectsand Project Managerson delivery of project milestones

Participate in theselectionand presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, lighting, and furniture specifications

Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction

Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts

Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives

Produce graphic presentations including 3D renderings, and construction drawings

Contribute to the production of plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for construction

Provide technical support and documentation during completion and execution of all phases of project work

Assistin managing client expectations, teamcommunicationand consultant coordination

Establish andmaintainongoing, productive client relationships

Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree inArchitecture,Interior Design,orInteriorArchitecturefrom an accredited program

3-10years ofrelevantexperiencewithinterior architecture and/or ground up building architectural experience (ideally both!)

ProficiencywithRevit, SketchUp, AutoCAD+3-D,Enscape,VRay, Grasshopper,Rhinoorother visualization software

Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or SPEXX a plus

Hand rendering skills to communicate design concepts are a plus

Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications,colorand materials

Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas

Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development

Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly

A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Strong leadership, organization,communicationand relationship management skills

Licensed / Registered Architect, NCIDQ certification, andLEED accreditationarea plus

Demonstratedcommitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices;If possible, portfolios should include at least one project (especiallybuilt projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard,Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
