Associate Graphic Designer

This is a full time position on the creative team for Modern Expo, Events, and Exhibits. We are a full service events company that specializes in corporate events, expos/tradeshows, and custom exhibit design.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented
AutoCAD Artist
to join our event production team. This role is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, renderings, and layout plans that support the design, fabrication, and execution of live events, experiential activations, exhibitions, and temporary environments. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of event layouts, staging, scenic elements, and fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality
2D AutoCAD drawings
including floor plans, elevations, stage layouts, truss plots, and detailed production drawings. Create
technical drawings
for scenic builds, custom fabrication, signage, and décor elements. Translate creative concepts, mood boards, and sketches into accurate technical documents. Work closely with
producers, designers, technical directors, and fabrication teams
to ensure all drawings meet project requirements and safety standards. Update drawings based on revisions, site surveys, client feedback, and production needs. Maintain organized drawing files and version control according to company standards. Assist in developing
event diagrams , seating layouts, load-in maps, and onsite reference documents. Ensure all drawings are optimized for fabrication, installation, and efficient onsite setup. Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as an
AutoCAD drafter, CAD artist, or technical designer -preferably in events, entertainment, or related industries. Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD ; experience with
Blender or Revit
is a plus. Ability to interpret creative designs and turn them into actionable technical drawings. Strong spatial awareness, technical accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience (Optional)
Experience with
3D modeling or rendering
tools Knowledge of
materials, construction methods , or drafting for scenic shops. Prior work in
live events, trade shows, concerts, corporate events, or experiential marketing . BENEFITS:
