The Position:
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis through our service line of St. Patrick Center, is hiring an Intake Specialist to play a vital role in addressing the housing needs of veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Utilizing best practices, the specialist will meticulously assess individual situations to determine eligibility for the Support Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated approach, ensuring that veterans receive the resources and support they need during their transitional period. In this role, the Intake Specialist will conduct thorough screenings to verify eligibility for services, while also providing appropriate referrals and resources for those who may not qualify or require additional assistance. Acting as the primary point of contact for veterans until a housing case manager is assigned, the specialist will foster trust and rapport with clients, creating a supportive environment during a pivotal time in their lives.
