HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: This role reports to a Designer and is positioned in our Buckhead office, working in a hybrid environment (4 days in-office). You will: Engage in the design process from initial concepts to final product development. Collaborate with internal partners through communication and meetings, supporting the daily workflow. Learn the creative process by closely observing experienced design leaders. Prepare and update linesheets in Adobe Illustrator, manage fabric and trim details in Miro, and keep track of silhouette numbers. Assist with pre-production art including print reviews, graphic placements, color validation, and line sheet/BOM management. Participate in the fitting process and make adjustments to design sketches based on feedback. Train interns in silhouette sketching and line sheet/BOM responsibilities. Build and maintain color swatch palettes for the team. Regularly update cross-functional partners on progress. Edit product details throughout the design review process to ensure successful product commercialization. PRODUCT LINE DEVELOPMENT: Sketch technical drawings in Illustrator, clearly communicating design intent, adjusting the silo matrix as directed. Independently design segments of programs with mentorship from your supervisor, and integrate prints/art into silhouettes. CREATIVE CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT: Research and present innovative design ideas and concepts that align with brand aesthetics. Request design and prototype samples from the Product Development & Sourcing team. Assemble creative trend boards for presentations and prepare comprehensive creative PDF files. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: You have a portfolio showcasing your work. You possess a Bachelor's degree. Your cumulative GPA is at least 3.0 (3.2 or higher preferred). You are eligible to start full-time by June 2026. Your degree is in a relevant field (BA or BFA). PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You are curious and eager to learn. You have strong communication and analytical skills. You have a foundational understanding of garment construction, silhouettes, colors, and fabrics. You are detail-oriented and organized. You demonstrate effective time management and creative problem-solving skills. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You can interpret and implement supervisor directives competently. You have a strong sense of color and can interpret creative trends for the Carter's brand. You are proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
