Job Title:
Graphic Designer - New Mexico (R.Greenleaf & Everest)
Salary Range : $55,000-$65,000
Type : Full-Time, Exempt
Location : Albuquerque, New Mexico (Support Office)
Position Objective
The Graphic Designer - New Mexico supports Schwazze's New Mexico retail brands by executing high-quality, compliant design assets across in-store, digital, and promotional touchpoints. This role focuses on adapting approved brand systems and creative direction into localized executions that support retail operations, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement in New Mexico markets.
Working closely with the Design Manager and cross-functional partners, this role ensures that creative assets are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand standards, compliance requirements, and store-level needs.
Essential Functions
Design Development (50%)
• Execute visually compelling design assets for in-store displays, signage, packaging, digital ads, and social media in support of New Mexico retail brands.
• Adapt approved creative concepts and templates to meet local market, store, and campaign requirements.
• Translate marketing briefs and promotional priorities into accurate, production-ready design files.
• Ensure all designs are high quality, visually engaging, and aligned with established brand guidelines.
Brand Consistency & Compliance (25%)
• Maintain consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all New Mexico design executions.
• Ensure all creative assets meet internal brand standards and external regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Apply updates to brand systems and templates as directed to support seasonal campaigns and promotions.
• Stay current on retail design best practices and compliance considerations relevant to New Mexico markets.
Collaboration & Execution Support (15%)
• Work closely with Marketing, Retail Operations, and Merchandising teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate with the Design Manager to receive creative direction, feedback, and prioritization.
• Support store teams by delivering clear, accurate creative assets that enable strong in-store execution.
• Communicate proactively to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Project Coordination (10%)
• Manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and execution standards.
• Prepare files for print and digital production, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Track revisions and updates to ensure accuracy and version control across deliverables.
• Support efficient execution by following established workflows and production processes.

Requirements
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in retail or consumer goods environments.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating retail-focused design execution and attention to detail.
• Experience adapting brand systems and templates across multiple applications.
A Plus, but Not Required
• Experience in cannabis or other regulated retail environments.
• Familiarity with print production, signage fabrication, and in-store marketing materials.
• Knowledge of motion graphics or basic animation.
• Understanding of localized retail marketing needs.

• This role is based in the Schwazze New Mexico Support Office in Albuquerque, NM.
• Schedule may vary based on campaign timelines, store needs, and promotional calendars.
