Operations Deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service to all customers.
Recommend items to customers, including trade-up and companion products.
Handle customer purchases at the register, managing cash transactions accurately; process returns, exchanges, and refunds as necessary while assisting customers in finding products in the store.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, perform inventory checks, and manage records. Assist in stocking and pricing merchandise under the guidance of the store manager or shift leader.
Support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist by accurately entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and checking for potential medication interactions. Aid in scheduling and managing workflow in the pharmacy.
Immediately report any prescription errors to the on-duty pharmacist and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
Follow the Walgreens policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all prescription processing activities.
Manage telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including contacting physicians when needed.
Efficiently process manual claims for third-party prescription services and assist with additional clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
Assist in inventory management tasks, including ordering and shipment processing, while maintaining compliance with asset protection techniques.
Ensure adherence to state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Help construct and maintain promotional displays and seasonal merchandise, completing resets and revisions as instructed.
Assist in organizing food items and maintain product placement as per established guidelines.
Have a working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport services and product recommendations.
Monitor web pickup orders, filling and delivering items to customers at the store.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.
Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with colleagues.
Tackle special assignments and additional tasks as they arise.
Training & Personal Development Achieve and retain PTCB certification through designated programs and ensure compliance with state certification requirements.
Participate in training sessions and complete all necessary continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
