Regional Sales Manager

Job Title Regional Sales Manager

Director of Sales

Responsibilities Summary: Responsible for managing sales efforts within an assigned geographic region (or market) by selling Newterra products into different water applications. Work with customers to understand requirements to ensure the correct purchase is made. Products may include pressure vessel filtration systems with granular activated carbon media, MBRs, Aerators, Ion exchange systems, reverse osmosis systems, and deaerators.

Negotiate sales and execute purchase orders in line with Company policies.

Achieve revenue quotas through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and new customers.

Answer questions and offer suggestions to prospects based on product knowledge; offer additional products/services to customers and overcome objections.

Support Manufacturers Rep network in achieving annual order quota, including setting expectations, meeting resource and training needs, monitoring progress, and motivating the selling of Company products.

Assist customers with relevant paperwork to complete the sale, including negotiation to a fully executed final purchase order.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all opportunities and customer contact details in Company systems.

Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.

Support other Company personnel as required in closing out customer issues such as field troubleshooting and payment.

Create development plans to promote profitable and reliable growth of sales in target regions and segments.

Forecast, report, and analyze regional and segment sales and margin results. Manage and report on budgets for assigned territory.

Evaluate and present recommendations of products and services aligning with targeted regions.

Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Perform site visits during equipment installations and support startup events as needed.

Travel internationally as needed, approximately 30-50 percent of the time.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products and services, including awareness of competitor products for comparison.

Develop reports and presentations to deliver development plans, activities, and results.

Communicate brand identity and corporate position appropriately.

Participate in cross-functional teams to develop solutions that promote brand and value propositions.

Assist in development and production of marketing collateral to deliver to clients and channel partners.

Attend periodic sales training as needed.

Report safety concerns, near misses, and incidents.

Perform duties in a safe manner and promote safety to others in accordance with the Company’s safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or international studies.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales capacity.

Minimum 2-5 years of international business experience required.

Technical knowledge/familiarity with wastewater treatment equipment (municipal and/or industrial).

Experience with international travel required.

Valid passport and ability to travel to and from locations within assigned territories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of environmental regulations, municipal and industrial water treatment required.

Communication and writing proficiency. Bi- or multilingual a plus but not required.

Management experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands Ability to sit for long periods of time. Complex thinking and analysis required.

Generally, works in an office environment or remotely, however, may be required to visit production sites and be exposed to outdoor elements.
