Role Summary
Associate Director – U.S. Consumer Creative & Advertising, GI. Responsible for delivering creative excellence in U.S. consumer campaigns for Lilly medicines, leading PESO channel-integrated campaigns and assets that align with priority Therapeutic Area objectives and fit within a cohesive campaign strategy with Lilly Masterbrand and Disease State Education initiatives. Focused on developing campaigns across video/film, audio, and out-of-home channels, including Shared media, and may operate in agile teams aligned to brands, therapeutic areas, or capabilities teams. Responsibilities
Consumer Campaign Development: Understand target patients, insights, strategic imperatives, competitive landscape, and metrics; partner with market research to validate creative viability; lead agency development of creative platforms and campaign expressions; embed PESO channel extensions into final creative recommendations; drive campaign and program development with the primary agency of record; manage timelines for work featuring Celebrity or Social Influencer talent; infuse cross-cultural marketing insights and capabilities into campaigns; coordinate with agencies on bidding and production; manage OPDP regulatory submissions from development through execution. Campaign Execution: Lead execution of creative campaigns to meet business goals and TA metrics; integrate PESO media recommendations; ensure tactics are data-driven and aligned with brand objectives; manage relationships with agencies and vendors; uphold Masterbrand and U.S. Consumer standards; oversee pre-production, production, and post-production processes; coordinate talent collaborations; approve assets and lead optimization reviews; manage budgets, media trafficking, licensing, and legal approvals; monitor performance with BI&A and Media teams and drive optimizations; implement full tactic lifecycle protocols. Operations: Maintain day-to-day relationships with consumer agencies of record and internal partners; manage creative agency fees and production budgets; collaborate with Regulatory, Legal, Medical, Corporate Communications, and other teams to implement campaign vision; ensure policy and process compliance. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of U.S. consumer marketing experience Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no sponsorship)
Additional preferences:
Leadership of creative campaign development and execution Technical competencies in go-to-market strategies, video/digital production, content creation, and performance measurement Proficiency in multichannel digital tactics, including social media Ability to translate customer insights into cross-channel communications Experience with cross-functional teams and external partners; digital campaigns and media strategy/execution Familiarity with influencer or celebrity partnerships; external agency experience and vendor management Marketing operations experience including launch planning, CIQ, and content approval workflows Understanding of PESO channels and planning; regulatory compliance in creative production (OPDP, FDA submissions) Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; project management skills Experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats or similar asset management platforms MBA or advanced marketing certification; cross-customer marketing or marketing capabilities Based in Indianapolis
