The Relationship Banker – Team Lead is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects to determine financial needs and proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to help achieve financial goals. The role also involves coaching a team of bankers and overseeing some branch activities in the Branch Manager’s absence. This position is suited for candidates with retail or sales experience seeking growth opportunities. Primary Responsibilities
Partner with the Branch Manager to guide and direct all branch activities Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing guidance on Regions’ solutions Conduct outbound calls to expand existing relationships and acquire new ones Collaborate with branch leadership on new business development opportunities Provide coaching to junior bankers to enhance product knowledge and customer needs identification Educate customers on Regions’ Consumer and Business products and services, including loan and deposit types Educate customers on digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings Provide a consistent customer experience and assist with greeting customers and processing transactions as needed Oversee branch operational and compliance-related tasks and communicate procedural changes Resolve escalated issues, including scheduling, staff counseling, or input into hiring decisions in the Branch Manager’s absence Refer customers to internal experts when additional financial goals are identified Follow all bank processes and procedures and adhere to applicable laws and regulations This position requires tracking time for hours over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is also incentive eligible and requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience Ability to work Saturdays as needed Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions Effective in-person, phone, and electronic communication Proficiency with computers, typing, and sustained monitoring Ability to walk and stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds Preferences
Bachelor’s degree Supervisory/management experience Skills and Competencies
