This is a full-time, year-round opportunity with full benefit offerings: Company Truck with gas card and maintenance included Company cell phone and laptop Per Diem when eligible (food & lodging) Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance Supplemental Critical Illness and Accident Insurance 401(k) + match (Roth and Traditional options) Paid Time off Paid Holidays Annual Bonus The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of concrete operations onsite, including planning, scheduling, flow of materials, deliveries, equipment, safety, SCC Concrete Workers, and all concrete construction being performed. Responsibilities: Review and interpret blueprints/shop drawings and other project documents with the project team to formulate an approach. Collaborate with project management team members, superintendents, foreman, self-perform crews, subcontractors, and owners to ensure successful project execution. Assist in the development of detailed project schedules. Plan and schedule concrete pours and accurately calculate volume of concrete needed. Coordinate manpower, reinforcing steel, and concrete accessories. Pre-plan pump set up and placement prior to the arrival of concrete. Coordinate delivery of concrete and placing methods. Manage site work and logistics efficiently, identifying opportunities for performance improvement and process redesign. Accurately document project progress/work situations, to ensure the company has proper documentation and record keeping. Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills. Coach, mentor, and train field personnel. Positive attitude and professional communication skills. Understand and enforce all SCC safety standards as described in the SCC Safety Manual. Maintain a clean and orderly job site. Requirements: 5+ years' concrete supervisory experience with concrete contracts valued at more than $1,000,000. Concrete experience must be within commercial/industrial construction. Must have experience with footings, foundation walls, and slab-on-grade concrete operations. Ability to read, interpret, and edit construction plans. Understand rebar installation drawings and assemblies. Must understand redi-mix add mixtures and mix designs. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.
