POSITION SUMMARY

Purchases all supplies, equipment and services for Community HealthCare System.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Prepares purchase orders and faxes, calls or sends order electronically to the vendor.

• Compares prices, specifications, delivery dates and makes recommendations for the best supplier.

• Checks status of shipments to determine if delivery will be on time or late.

• Develops corrective action plans on late shipments by communication with the department during the late period.

• Confers with vendors when unacceptable merchandise is received and develops corrective actions.

• Checks inventory records for accuracy.

• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries.

• Reviews requisition orders verifying accuracy, terminology and specifications.

• Delivers materials/inventory to requesting department confirming as needed that the items have been delivered.

• Determines if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs and orders more materials as necessary to avoid outages.

• Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities.

• On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements.

• Arrives on time and ready to work.

• All other duties as required.
