Digital Identity Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Senior
Overview
In our quickly changing IT landscape, organizations are confronted with complex cybersecurity risks and regulatory demands. Digital identity—both human and non-human—is central to every enterprise. As a Digital Identity SME, you will assist clients in enhancing user experience, minimizing risk, and boosting operational efficiency by designing and implementing robust identity solutions, utilizing tools like Microsoft Entra and Saviynt.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Assessment
Evaluate current state assessments and perform capability maturity. Develop IAM strategy and roadmaps, including operating models, governance, policies, procedures, and standards.
Solution Design & Implementation
Design and implement identity governance solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Entra and Saviynt. Assist in developing RBAC models, workflows, and access certification campaigns. Onboard applications and integrate with directories, HR systems, and cloud platforms. Implement identity lifecycle management processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews. Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather business, compliance, and technical requirements for identity governance. Create documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and perform thorough assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR. Act as the primary escalation resource for advanced technical challenges during deployment and ongoing operations. Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing. Provide technical expertise for pre-sales and business development during client engagements and RFP processes.
Skills & Attributes for Success Hands-on experience configuring and implementing Saviynt and Microsoft Entra. In-depth understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance. Knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, SoD policies, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), directory services (AD, LDAP), protocols (SAML, SCIM, REST APIs, JDBC). Basic scripting skills (Java, BeanShell, PowerShell) and API integration knowledge. Comprehensive understanding of IAM elements: authentication, authorization, provisioning, federation, and privileged access. Experience with API integration and connector development. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Efficient troubleshooting and technical issue resolution skills. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities. Strong skills in process definition, workflow design, and process mapping. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of relevant work experience (or 2-3 years with a graduate degree). Hands-on experience with IAM solutions like Microsoft Entra and Saviynt. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator, Saviynt Certified Professional, CISSP, CISM).
