Product Owner

to drive the evolution of our sales and origination technology. You will sit at the intersection of our Consumer Direct sales floor and our development teams, ensuring our Loan Officers have the tools to convert leads faster and more efficiently. You will bridge the gap between complex mortgage workflows and seamless digital experiences, with a heavy emphasis on optimizing the Point of Sale (POS) and Loan Origination System (LOS) ecosystem.

The

Coordinate application changes across the POS (e.g., Blend, BeSmartee) and LOS (e.g., Encompass, Empower) to ensure data integrity and a frictionless borrower/ LO journey. Translate complex mortgage business rules (compliance, pricing, and credit) into actionable user stories. Utilize use cases and process maps to ensure business leaders and developers are aligned on the "Happy Path" for originations. Thrive within a Scrum/Kanban environment. Facilitate ceremonies and manage a high-visibility backlog that balances technical debt with high-impact sales features. Develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning, ensuring all system deployments meet federal and state regulatory requirements (TRID, HMDA, etc.). Oversee rigorous UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new features, ensuring that rate calculations, disclosure triggers, and automated underwriting integrations are 100% accurate. Direct experience supporting Consumer Direct sales teams or Retail Loan Officers is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with Mortgage Tech Stacks (LOS/POS platforms) is required.
