Responsibilities
The Director of Community Health System's (CHS) Outpatient Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the effective operation, leadership and direction for outpatient Cardiovascular Services and other areas at their assigned facility or facilities. The Director will lead the assigned service line and the team's commitment to quality, service, growth, safety and fiscal accountability. Assumes responsibility for the creation, development and implementation of new programs; identifying opportunities for growth; guides the development of a patient centered service, and helps set the standards in quality, talent management, service and fiscal accountability. Serves as liaison to physicians, medical groups, hospital staff, the community and vendors. Promotes an environment, which encourages staff to develop new skills to advance the service line as well as themselves and provides an environment that promotes trust and decision-making at the staff level.
Qualifications
Education • Bachelor's Degree or must obtain within the first year of hire or entry into position required • Master's Degree preferred
Experience • 5 years of experience in a healthcare leadership/management position required • 3 years of experience in Cardiovascular Services, Specialty Services, Surgical Services or Critical Care preferred
Licenses and Certifications • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
