We’re seeking a
Director of Operations
to lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of a rapidly growing, multi-state Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) organization. This role is designed for a hands-on, execution-focused leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments and knows how to turn systems, data, and teams into measurable results. This is a pivotal leadership position with direct exposure to ownership. You’ll bring structure, accountability, and operational discipline to a growing organization while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-moving environment. Position Overview As
Director of Operations , you will oversee daily operations across multiple service lines and regions, with a strong focus on utilization, staffing efficiency, compliance, and performance management. You’ll serve as the operational bridge between executive leadership and department heads, ensuring strategy translates into execution. This role requires both
strategic thinking and deep involvement in the details —from analyzing utilization trends to addressing staffing gaps and improving service delivery. Regular on-site presence is expected, with limited travel as needed. Key Responsibilities Partner with
executive leadership
to implement operational strategies aligned with growth, quality, and compliance goals
Oversee day-to-day operations across
multiple states , ensuring adherence to healthcare, payer, and ABA-specific regulatory requirements
Develop, monitor, and act on
KPIs
related to utilization, staffing, service delivery, and operational performance
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable
department heads and managers
across operations, clinical support, and administration
Identify operational breakdowns and inefficiencies and implement
sustainable solutions
Optimize systems related to
scheduling, staffing, billing coordination, payroll, EVV, and reporting
Ensure
audit readiness and compliance
with Medicaid, insurance, and behavioral health standards
Support expansion initiatives including
new service areas, licensing, payer contracting, and standardized process development
Serve as a
visible operational leader
with a strong presence in the office and across teams
The Ideal Candidate 5+ years of progressive
operations leadership experience
in ABA, behavioral health, healthcare, or other regulated service-based organizations
Experience managing
multi-site or multi-region operations
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including
staffing models, utilization, scheduling, and performance metrics
Familiarity with insurance-based or regulated service environments ( Medicaid experience a plus, not required )
Proven ability to
improve systems, drive accountability, and deliver measurable results
Confident leader comfortable making decisions, addressing underperformance, and
leading through change
Highly
organized, analytical, and execution-oriented
Comfortable working closely with ownership while
independently running day-to-day operations
