About the job Senior Solutions Architect - 5G NTN
Senior Solutions Architect: Global Orchestration & 5G NTN
The Mission:
We are seeking a systems-level Software Engineer to help build the "operating system for the sky." Our platform solves the most complex networking challenge of the decade: how to manage high-speed data across a shifting web of satellites, aircraft, and ground stations. We are moving beyond fixed infrastructure to create a dynamic, software-defined network that spans the globe and reaches into deep space.
The Role: You will join an elite engineering team developing a sophisticated control plane that orchestrates radio resources, manages beam-steering schedules, and automates handovers for non-geostationary constellations. This isn't just about moving packets; its about modeling physics, geometry, and signal propagation in real-time.
Technical Responsibilities
Architectural Development:
Design and scale a distributed orchestration platform using Golang, C++, and Java. 5G Integration:
Implement 3GPP standards (Release 17+) and O-RAN architectures to bridge terrestrial 5G cores with non-terrestrial (NTN) assets. Network Control:
Develop the logic for Radio Resource Management (RRM) and Service Management & Orchestration (SMO) within a Kubernetes-native environment. Protocol Engineering:
Utilize gRPC and Protocol Buffers to ensure high-efficiency communication across high-latency, long-distance links. Cross-Functional Design:
Work at the intersection of aerospace hardware and software-defined networking to ensure seamless end-to-end data delivery. Experience & Qualifications
Core Engineering:
Proven professional track record in low-latency systems programming (C++, Go, or Java). Wireless Domain Expertise:
Deep understanding of wireless performance modeling, link budgets, or satellite communications. Cloud-Native Mastery:
Hands-on experience deploying and scaling complex applications within Kubernetes. Industry Standards:
Familiarity with the 5G ecosystem, specifically O-RAN APIs and the 5G Core. Consultative Mindset:
Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into solutions for strategic partners and end-users.
