Responsibilities

Formulate and execute long-term preconstruction strategies for data center projects to align with organizational objectives.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders and address any concerns effectively. Educate stakeholders on industry standards and processes related to data center construction.
Project Constructability:
Supervise the planning and design phases of data center projects to ensure feasibility, quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
Budget Oversight:
Establish and manage preconstruction budgets, ensuring prudent resource utilization while adhering to financial parameters.
Innovation and Improvement:
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative practices to enhance performance and sustainability.
Continuous Improvement:
Document lessons learned in budgeting and preconstruction processes to foster continuous improvement and implement best practices across all projects.
Risk Management:
Anticipate potential risks and create strategies to mitigate their impact on project timelines and costs.
Team Leadership:
Inspire and mentor the project team, cultivating a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with the project team to select, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors and contractors to ensure project objectives are met economically.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure preconstruction activities adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and supervise quality control processes in the preconstruction phase to uphold superior planning and design standards.
Skills Required Industry Knowledge:
Strong grasp of data center budgeting, cost effectiveness, and the connection between budget and schedule timelines.
Data Center Industry Relationships:
Leverage existing relationships and develop new connections to support preconstruction efforts.
Budget Process:
Skill in organizing, evaluating, and communicating baseline budgets from inception to project closeout.
Strategic Planning:
Capable of developing and enforcing strategies that align with higher-level organizational goals.

Proven expertise in overseeing the complex planning, design, and budgeting phases of construction projects.
