Salary - $50k to $65k - depending on experience

Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate will bring a solid background in customs entries within the freight forwarding industry, with at least one year of current experience. Key skills and knowledge required include: International import transportation Import brokerage procedures U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processes Participating Government Agency (PGA) requirements Classification and valuation Key Responsibilities The Customs Entry Specialist will manage accounts from A to Z, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations. Responsibilities include: Preparing Arrival Notices and file setups Inputting data from Agents and freight forwarders Filing customs entries for clearance Engaging with Customs and other Government agencies to secure release of goods Providing top-notch customer service Billing of files The role will also involve: Conducting Import Security Filing (ISF) Handling bills of lading with respect to cargo title, payment, and regulations Ensuring compliance with PGA guidelines for customs clearance Managing quarantine issues and addressing fees and duty taxes Filing necessary documentation with U.S. Customs such as commercial packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin Signing documents on behalf of clients under power of attorney If you are organized, able to multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you may be the perfect fit for our client's team!
