compliance-focused, strategic, and operationally critical —not sales-driven. Core Responsibilities Customs Brokerage & Regulatory Compliance Act as the

corporate Licensed Customs Broker of record , ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. Oversee and execute end-to-end import operations including entry filings, classifications, valuation, country of origin determinations, Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, and duty optimization. Serve as the primary liaison for CBP, FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, and other Partner Government Agencies. Maintain and enhance compliance programs aligned with

CTPAT, ISA, and CBP audit readiness standards . Trade Compliance Leadership Ensure accurate

HTS classification

across a variety of product lines (manufacturing, consumer goods, industrial, or regulated commodities). Manage

Free Trade Agreements (USMCA, other FTAs) , duty drawbacks reconciliation, and post-entry amendments. Conduct internal audits, compliance reviews, and implement corrective action plans. Monitor regulatory changes and proactively advise leadership on risk exposure and potential mitigation strategies. Operational & Strategic Impact Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, finance, legal, and logistics teams. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance manuals, and internal training programs. Enhance import processes, broker oversight, and data accuracy to minimize delays, penalties, and landed costs. Support high-volume, time-sensitive import environments with precision and consistency. Broker & Vendor Oversight Manage relationships with external customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers. Ensure broker performance, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. Escalate and resolve complex customs issues, holds, seizures, or audits. Required Qualifications Active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB)

– required. 10+ years of progressive experience in customs brokerage, import operations, and trade compliance. Deep understanding of

19 CFR, CBP regulations, HTSUS, PGA requirements , and enforcement practices. Proven experience in

manufacturing and/or complex import environments . Strong audit, risk management, and regulatory interpretation skills. Experience working directly with CBP officers and regulatory agencies. Advanced knowledge of import documentation, ACE, ABI systems, and compliance software. Preferred / Best-in-Class Experience Experience in establishing or enhancing compliance programs. Background in

high-volume imports , multi-country sourcing, or regulated commodities. Exposure to

ISA, CTPAT Tier II/III , or previous CBP audit defense. Ability to operate at both
