Director of Finance
A worldwide organization with regional hq's in Wash DC seeks a Director of Finance.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, motivating, directing, and evaluating effective systems of sound financial management and business administration for the organizaton. The Director reports to the Board and is responsible for all
matters relating to the financial affairs of the org and its sponsored entities.

responsibilities:
Responsible for preparation and maintenance of the long-range financial plan. Maintains an appropriate organizational structure and assures competent staff to perform the functions and services of the Finance Office. Ensures timely completion of the annual audit and reviews results. Prepares financial reports on a monthly basis. Serves on Investment Committee with responsibility to convene quarterly meetings of the committee to review strategies and performance in light of current reality and future needs. Responsible for executing and monitoring strategies. Prepares the annual operating and capital budgets for review and approval and prepares monthly financial reports. Reviews investment portfolios quarterly to ensure compliance with investment policies and to identify cash needs. Examines and reviews monthly reports from Institutional Brokers/Endowment Mangers, bringing, recommendations, suggestions, and concerns to the Board. Attends quarterly Finance Committee meetings, records and prepares the minutes, and follows up on any required actions. Reviews annually the insurance (property, liability, etc.) programs to ensure the programs provide adequate coverage for assets and presents options to the Treasurer and completes the applications for renewal. Conducts regular review of the Social Security program for members to ensure that proper procedures are in place to administer the program in accord with government regulations. Oversees enrollment of members in medical insurance benefits program. Oversees payroll administration and paid leave accruals. Serves a primary contact to all vendors for management of employee benefits programs such as 403(b), medical, life and disability insurance. Ensures cybersecurity for Finance Office, recommending changes and updates as needed. qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a BA/BS in an area related to accounting, finance or business financial management (MBA/MS/MAS, preferred) A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a managerial role, responsible for financial operations. Knowledge of tax regulations pertaining to non-profit corporations is required. Current CPA license is highly preferred. The Director will work on-site at hq's in Wash, DC with free parking. Salary range is 175,000 - 195,000.
