IT Enterprise Business Architect

Position Overview: IT Enterprise Business Architect to provide support for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at their Clarksburg facility. Under the direction of the government, the successful candidate will provide architecture solutions for multi-system projects including defining network, computing, storage, and software solutions; experience with activity and data modeling; developing modern business methods, identifying best practices and network topology; creating and assessing performance measurements; applying process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects; performing technical forecasting; developing total cost of ownership models to determine best times to implement new technologies; consulting on technology decisions as part of a business' strategic goals and facilitating the implementation of the solution.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyze the IT business architecture of IT projects managed by the ITMS. Provide expertise on upcoming, ongoing, and future IT projects, executing activity and data modeling. Developing modern business methods. Apply process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles across the CJIS SoS. Performing technical forecasting in support of total cost of ownership modeling. Assist with technology decisions as part of a multi-year technology plan based on the business line's strategic goals. Support integrated strategic project-based planning with consideration of future project requirements. Perform architecture and engineering analysis of IT projects and efforts managed within the ITMS. Lead teams focused on the enterprise system and, solutions architecture. Data science with the following objectives: Analyze emerging processing technology for possible implementation across the project. Outline the setup and configuration of processing platform solutions. Analyze performance and accuracy of the project. Define architecture solutions for processing platforms of future project. Analyze network, computing, storage, and software solutions for the project. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
At least 15 years of experience with solution architecture for multi-system projects including defining network, computing, storage, and software solutions. Possess knowledge of the Attorney General guidelines (AGG). Have experience working effectively with DOJ and USIC agencies in relation to information sharing. Be capable of working independently and providing detailed analysis and recommendations to FBI personnel at the senior executive level. Proof of US Citizenship Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited institution; or equivalent experience. Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
